Settling the future of CUPS: AGM *this* Tuesday at 6

Hi all,

It's time to hold a review of this year's Pagan Society and decide how our society will be run (and by who!) next academic year.  As the Union has asked us to do this by May, we have to hold our AGM this Tuesday (29 April).  We'll meet in the Nelson Mandela room on the 4th floor of the Students' Union, and the meeting will start at 6pm.

The AGM is the venue for letting us know what you've thought of our events this year, and telling us what we've done right and where we can improve.  We would particularly appreciate if our student members could come along, as we will also be collecting student numbers for our "20 members form" which is required for us to continue existing as a society.  (If you can't make it but would like to support the society existing next year, please reply by email with your name and student number.)

AGM also elects our committee, who organise and run the society's events.  The positions available are:
  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Offerings Magazine Editor
  • Website Editor
Nominations for these positions are now open, and will close at the start of the meeting.  Please email mailing@cardiffpagan.co.uk if you would like to stand or nominate someone for one of the above positions, or suggest the creation of a new post.  The election will be held by secret ballot conducted during the meeting.

So, to recap: the Pagan Society's Annual General Meeting will be held at 6pm on Tuesday 29 April in the Union's Nelson Mandela room.  I hope you will be able to come along and help us make the society even better next year!  Best of luck with upcoming coursework and exams.
