Talk on Thelema: Origins, Practices and PrinciplesSent: 2008-03-11 11:40:04Hi all,On Tuesday 18 March, David Benton, a Thelemite and Hermetic Magician of many years' experience, will be giving us a talk on his religion. Thelema was created by renowned magick worker Aleister Crowley, who centred it on personal growth and spiritual development. Crowley saw it as a "New Aeon" religion, suited to modern minds and the society that would evolve in the 21st century. David will explain Thelema's mystical origins in Crowley's work, how it is to be a Thelemite, and examine the principles and practices of Thelemic magick.
