Tarot Coffee Club, 20th Feb: III The Empress, Page of Coins, and Astrology in Tarot

Hi folks,

This event has been reschuduled to February 20th, having been cancelled on the 13th due to illness.

There are many different systems of symbolism associated with the Tarot, but certainly one of the 
most common and easy to use system that has been added to it over the years is astrology. Not 
only does astrology add extra layers of meaning to the cards, but it also lends much of the symbolism 
and imagery in the more occult decks, and particularly some of the decks that majorly influenced the 
Tarot world as we know it today: the Rider Waite Smith deck and the Crowley Thoth deck. 

As such, on February 20th from 19:30pm at Kim's House (MEET at 19:15pm outside the Sherman 
Theatre on Senghennydd Road if you don't know how to get there) Harrison Mansfield will be giving a 
short talk on Astrology in the cards, Kim  Huggens will be taking us through some fun "Tarotscopes" 
based on astrological birth signs and numerology, and we'll also be showcasing the versatile Zodiac Tarot 
Spread. As usual, the evening will start with some relaxed Tarot games, and we'll spend some time 
discussing two cards from the pack: III The Empress, and the Page of Coins. 

You don't have to have any experience at all with the Tarot to come along, and you don't need to even own 
your own pack, as there will be plenty of decks you can borrow from Kim's Tarot collection on the evening. 
You can have a think beforehand about the cards we'll be discussing if you like, and you can also bring 
along some food and drink to add to the feast we always have throughout the evening.
